Formerly known as the “Province Lands” the pilgrims landed here first before they decided to settle across the Bay in Plymouth. Take some time to enjoy the wonderful variety of restaurants, shops, and galleries that make this artists/fishermen village so unique. This afternoon you may choose to board an excursion vessel for an amazing experience of WHALE WATCHING (3 hours). You will travel into the natural habitat of a diverse marine environment including birds that migrate here from all over the Atlantic, and fish which use these shallow waters to feed. Try to spot Humpback, Minke, and Fin Whales going about their daily business. An onboard naturalist will introduce you to everything you see and will answer any of your questions about the whales, birds, fish and lighthouses. PA SWEET EXPERIENCE Chocolate, Icecream, Crafts and more!
My sister and I had another wonderful trip with Garden State Getaways on the PA Sweet Experience. It’s been days, and we are still coming down from such a great time! It truly felt like a VIP trip from start to finish.
We loved hearing the fascinating history of Milton Hershey, visiting Stone Gable Estate and the Star Barn, touring the Capitol, exploring the PA Christmas Show shopping exhibit, and enjoying the Turkey Hill Experience. Everything ran so smoothly. It was comforting and fun to have Faith as our team leader, and what a great group of people we traveled with (To all of you reading this—my sister and I want you to know how much we enjoyed each one of you.) We shared so many laughs that my cheeks still hurt!
This was one of our best trips—although we say that every time we finish an adventure with GSG. Thank you, Faith. You always go the extra mile to ensure everyone has the greatest experience. We can’t wait for our next adventure!

I just wanted to thank both Faith and Eddie for getting us back to our cars safely after our trip to the Botanical Gardens, during the horrific forest fire. They both kept&nbsp;calm, cool and collected during what could have been a very stressful situation, it helped keep the rest of us calm as well.&nbsp; I have now been on several of trips with Faith and have enjoyed all of them, she is very accommodating and pleasant.

Lunch at the Amish home was delicious. The show was superb. We had a great time. Very well managed by Vikky. 



In May, I traveled with GS Getaways to Brooklyn, Philadelphia twice and a multi-day tour to Long Island.  Each experience was unique, interesting and well run.  The excellent step-on guides and docents greatly enhanced the knowledge and appreciation of the sites, and the special meals or restaurants were carefully chosen.  It was also fun getting to know so many fellow travelers and reconnecting with a few from previous trips.  Thank you, Faith and company!

My husband and I took a wonderful trip to go see Noah at the Sight & Sound Theater in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. We traveled there in a new bus. The trip, organized by Garden State Getaways, also included a stop for lunch at the Shady Maple. I would absolutely use them again to book our next excursion.

I always like to personally respond to reviews we receive on we travel when they are below 4 stars. We take our reviews very seriously as we strive hard to provide the best service and experience.  
I assume you are referring to our return time.  Our return time is always approximate and both buses did report that they hit traffic on the way home.  As far as departure, there were no delays, time wise.  We tell our escorts to make sure they have everyone on the bus and to take the extra couple minutes to check if they feel the need. and I was happy to hear that the bus did arrive at Hunterdon Hills earlier than anticipated.
Regarding the iced tea that was my fault for telling the tour escort it was included.  Once we discovered it our mistake, the escort, John, from the second bus did take care of paying for any iced teas that were ordered to correct the situation.  If you paid for an iced tea please let us know so we can reimburse you. 
Regarding the show, several people did express that the show was not up to the standards of HH plays that we have come accustomed to.  However, some people also expressed that they enjoyed the show.   I will share this information with Hunterdon Hills.

The bus was late coming in. The 45 minutes between the Target pickup and the exit 98 pick up was entirely too long. The trip leader provided incorrect information as to the  “free” iced tea during lunch. Although the trip leader checked our names off as we entered the bus, once on the bus, she went through the entire list of names again re-checking, further delaying our departure.
The show unfortunately was very disappointing. It sounded like it would be a cute show, but we really did not enjoy it at all. Lunch was good. Service was good. We enjoyed being with our friends for the day, but definitely was not a favorite show.

I had a wonderful time celebrating with friends. The bus in & out was a great way to travel to NYC, no hassle, no traffic, no tolls or parking. Yard House was more than I expected. The food including dessert was more than enough and most delicious. And the performance by Hugh Jackman was terrific. Thank you for making it a great day!!!

i am so glad you enjoyed the trip.  As far as travel, New Mexico is wide spread and we did have to travel to get to our destinations.  I did explain on the bus before anyone committed to the balloon ride  that if you chose to go to the balloon ride (an extra option we provided), you would miss the morning session at the balloon festival.  Unfortunately the balloon ride was canceled due to weather conditions that caused unsafe conditions.   The bus is only allowed to enter the fiesta one time.  Permits are provided months in advance due to the high traffic.  The vans that picked us up from the hotel did so as a courtesy and they too were not allowed to enter the fiesta without a permit.  This is why we were unable to change plans and go to the fiesta.  LIke I said, this was explained to everyone in advance,  I hope this clarifies your concerns.  I too would have loved to hop over the the festival after the cancelation.  Thank you for sharing your thoughts and allowing us to respond to them.

The trip was lovely. But.  Too much time traveling and train. Food so so except the last night and another provided mex meal. Great people. When we were rained out for balloon ride we were brought back to hotel. I wonder why we were not brought to the festival to be with the other group and watch the balloons inflate for 3 hours rather than sit in the hotel until 11:30. Bus driver Saul was excellent. Faith was always calm and dealt with everything except that ride cancellation . I would have appreciated an explanation 

Gail, I am glad you felt the trip was wonderful.    As far as the flights, we were very limited.  There are very few  nonstop flights to Albuquerque.  I too would have loved a much easier direct flight but we did not have that opportunity to do so.   I appreciate that you are a long time traveler and look forward to seeing you again.

Loved the activities. The people were wonderful, the driver fabulous, the hotels good and the restaurants were great. I did not like the connecting flights with long layovers at the airport. The travel days were too long and exhausting.  I also would have liked to travel business class but it was not possible to make that upgrade.

        First time traveler with GSGetaways! Fantastic! Loved every minute. Brand new luxurious comfortable tour bus. Itinerary well paced and easily manageable. George, our driver was so pleasant, helpful and patient with the many slower seniors. He gets an A+. The timely comfort stops every 2 to 2.5 hrs. were  very considerate and appropriate. Faith,  our on board guide and illustrious leader was superb, She is smart, clear, concerned, prepared and ever-present. Nothing for her fellow travelers to be worried about. She already considered whatever and builds it into the trip!
        Overnight stay in Cleveland just perfect @ Hampton Inn across from the beautiful Cathedral of St John the Evangelist. By Divine Intervention was able to attend 7:15am Mass the next morning. A true Gift! We were given ample time to get our luggage out the door and have a quick breakfast.
        The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame was fun, not a destination I would have sought out on my own but it was really enjoyable. 
        Frankenmuth was beyond my expectation! I felt transported to an authentic Bavarian experience. The Inn was timeless, the family style dinner just right for my taste. The entire town, dressed to impress, had an endless array of offerings. The flowers, the shops, the gardens, the garlands on the fences and the autumnal decorations were a feast for the eyes! I shall cherish the memory of that visit for sure! Would not mind spending a couple of nights there. Breakfast at Oma’s restaurant scrumptious!
        The Thunder Bay resort was awesome, the Elk amazing and the dinner in the lodge delicious,  bountiful and exceptional! The folks there (especially the youngsters) so very warm and welcoming. Breakfast was on a smaller scale but delicious.
         
        The Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island is Spectacular! Crossing the tremendous bridge, enjoying the ferry ride and climbing the horse drawn trolley built the anticipation of our approach to that magnificent Hotel! How very Grand!!! Goosebumps! 
        Visiting this jewel  was a dream come true. Overall, the exquisitely designed Parlor and main dining hall, the shiny lower level, the long and elegant front porch with its endless perfect row of gleaming white rockers was stepping back in time. 
        My room 151, which I occupied alone, was prettily decorated in pink, mauve and green with a lovely seating area and nicely updated bathroom. The linens and bedspread had a rich and luxurious feel and the bed ( I think it was a King) was quite comfortable. However the location of the room on the first floor, next to the stairs and the elevator and just above the “Terrace Room” did not allow for much sleep until the wee hours of the morning. The “disco” like music by the live orchestra til 11:30pm on that Thursday Night and then the celebratory atmosphere of guests til 1:30-2:00am was distressing. My earplugs barely helped and I surmised from the turned up sound of the TV in the nearby room, all night long, those occupants attempted to drown out the noise as well. Friday night was slightly better, since the music was a bit more conservative and the revelry much subdued.
        More positively, the atmosphere of the Hotel was heavenly. The buffet luncheon on our arrival on Thursday was plentiful, diverse and delicious. The breakfasts were great and our 5 course dinner on Friday evening was elegant and outstanding. The choices were varied and different. Most of the staff was gracious and accommodating, though some were a bit stiff and unfriendly. Overall, grateful to have had the experience.
        The trip back home was quick and efficient. The games, movies, music and stops made the time pass without complaint. GSGetaways has got it together! Seamless arrangements, high tier accommodations, personalized attention, affordable pricing,  An all around very inclusive way to travel. I know I’ll be traveling with this Tour company again!!!

Thanks for sharing your thoughts on the Anne Frank Exhibition" trip.  I am sorry you did not enjoy the Museum of Eldridge.  This was the seventh time we ran this exact trip and that museum was always well received and a high light.  The 2 museums are located close together and Essex Market was arranged as an opportunity to experience diverse foods.  We are sorry to see that your experience did not meet your expectations.  We strive to provide the best service to our customers, and your feedback is what drives our improvements.

The trip was a lot of money with lackluster exhibits except for the actual Anne Frank Museum which was excellent.  The first Jewish museum at the beginning was boring and seemed useless; and was in an especially ugly part of NYC.  It was also lousy that lunch was not included for that price and that we were left to wander around some “mall eatery” to farrage for food for 2+ hours.  Essentially it was a lot of hours with what could have been done in half a day and should have included a served lunch.

My Mom and I had such a wonderful trip!  We stayed at comfortable and clean accommodations. The food was delicious. We had such a beautiful time at the Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island. Hugh Jackman's energy is off the charts.  A surprise duet with Kate Hudson was a plus.  The bus ride was comfortable, and the driver was experienced getting us through the hectic NY traffic.  Lunch at the Yard House was satisfying, with many choices, and excellent chocolate lava cake!

The overall trip was a fun day. Our bus departure was delayed due to an unfortunate accident, but the schedule was set up so that we still arrived in AC promptly on time.  The Bee Gees concert was a good one, and the drive home was uneventful.  All in all, we really enjoyed ourselves.

The trip to Mackinaw Island and more was fantastic!   The Grand Hotel, the elk preserve, gourmet dinner in a cabin in the woods all of it was fabulous.  We had a great time and John our group leader was wonderful.  Wonderful group of people and lots of laughs.  It’s not our first trip with Faith and it definitely won’t be the last!  I would absolutely recommended Garden State Getaways, everything is arranged and all you have to do is sit back relax and enjoy the trip!

So much to see on this trip, not just Mackinac Island. Had a fun time on the bus with the games and movies, yummy meals at the Elk Preserve and Frankenmuth on the way to Mackinac. The Grand Hotel was spectacular! And John Reese did a wonderful job corralling 46 people and making the trip an awesome experience with his humor and warmth.  Highly recommend this trip!

Highlights included the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and of course Mackinac Island. 
The island was lie taking a trip back in time.
The Grand Hotel is aptly named. Ornate, beautiful grounds with an overflow of incredible flora and fauna.  
The food was superb. Rooms were comfortable. Service was top notch and food choices were excellent. 
We also enjoyed our time in Frankenmuth especially Brooner’s Christmas extravaganza. 
A pleasant surprise was our stop in Clare on the way home. Beautiful town. The Cops and Donut bakery stop was a special treat. 
I could keep writing but suffices to say we had an excellent time.

I had a great time.  All the people on the bus were very nice especially to me since I was traveling alone. They went out of their way to make sure I always joined a group to sit with for lunch and/or dinner. The stops were all great including the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Frankenmuth, Bronners, Bavarian Inn, Thunder Bay Resort and Mackinac Island. The only change of plans was one day, Sunday, when we found out that Silver Linings was closed on Sundays. They should have known that while planning the trip.  Our tour guide was great, informative and always made sure we had all our folks on the bus, and he counted every piece of luggage when we stopped at a hotel. He even had lots of snacks and water bottles for all bus passengers. We always had enough time to enjoy each stop. I would rate this bus trip in my top 5 bus trips I have ever taken. It was well worth it to see and stay at the Grand Hotel. 

I'm honestly giving this a 5-star review for the scenery only.  Food and hotels were a 3 star, too many late dinners, buffet lines long, and was just OK, IMO.  Otherwise, the bus driver, Jon Nash, and the bus group made it a lot of fun singing on the bus.  Vikki was the best, very patient and lots of fun.  The Snake River float trip was awesome too.

Again, scenery was amazing, breathtaking and just in awe!!!!  Can't get any closer to heaven :)
